Welcome to another episode of our EBC Prayer Podcast. Our scripture will be taken from Romans 8:38-39, and it reads: “I am persuaded that neither death nor life, angels, principalities nor powers, nor things present, things to come, height, depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
The Lord is reminding us that nothing can ever stand between us and his boundless love. This is richly expressed in the grace of Christ Jesus, a love that surpasses all barriers and rises above all circumstances. It reaches the highest peaks of life with joy and reaches down to the deepest valleys of depression.
As we pray, let us hold onto the comforting assurance that no one nor anything can separate us from the connection we share with the Lord. No earthly force and no human concern can separate us from the divine love that he is graciously pouring into our lives. His love is our refuge, surrounding us through trials and providing strength and nutrition in every season of life.

Let’s pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we come before you with humbled and grateful hearts. Aware of your presence and grateful for your unfailing love. Thank you for inviting us into your presence, to rest in your promises, and to trust in the depth of your love. A love that does not weaken, does not waver, and does not depend on our strength or our circumstances. You have shown us a love that is eternal, a love revealed through Jesus Christ our Lord, and a love that holds us even when we feel unsure or afraid.
Everlasting Father, thank you for reminding us that nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate us from your love. “For we are persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Father, nothing in this world or beyond it can separate us from your love. In seasons of joy, it is your love that sustains us, and in moments of pain, it is your love that lifts us and carries us through.
Lord, we acknowledge that there are forces we do not fully understand. There are spiritual battles, unseen struggles, and worries that rise in our minds. Help us to trust that neither death nor life can pull us away from you. Neither angels nor principalities nor powers can overcome your authority. Nothing in the spiritual realm can undo what you have secured through Christ. You reign above all, and your love stands firm.
Father, we bring before you our present concerns and our future uncertainties. There are things happening now that weigh heavily on our hearts. There are responsibilities, relationships, and challenges that test our faith. We also carry questions about what lies ahead, about tomorrow, and about seasons yet to come. But we choose to believe that neither things present nor things to come can separate us from your love. You are already in our future, preparing the way and holding us steady.
When we feel insignificant, remind us that no height nor depth can remove us from your embrace. There is no place we can go where your love cannot reach us. When we feel lifted with joy, you are there celebrating with us. When we feel buried in sorrow, you are there, close to the brokenhearted, gently restoring our souls.
Lord, thank you for the gift of Jesus Christ, through whom this love is made certain. Through his sacrifice, we have hope. Through his resurrection, we have new life. Through his presence, we are never abandoned. Teach us to live each day aware of this love, drawing strength from it and sharing it freely with others.
Help us to anchor our hearts in truth. Help us to remember that no created thing, no mistake, no failure, and no weakness has the power to separate us from your love.
Lord, may your love heal what is wounded within us. May it bring peace where there is anxiety and light where there is darkness. May it restore faith where discouragement has taken root. Lord, wrap us in your comfort and remind us that we are held securely in your hands. Help us to pray boldly, knowing that your love goes before us and follows after us. Let your words “I am persuaded that neither death nor life, angels, principalities nor powers, nor things present, things to come, height, depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” give us courage to face challenges, grace to forgive, and compassion to serve others.
Lord, we place our fears, our hopes, and our future into your hands. Trusting that nothing will ever separate us from your love.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, we pray…Amen.
Everyone, please have a blessed day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow.
