May 29 - Day 149. Call unto the Lord and He will answer.

Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Our scripture will be taken from Jeremiah 33:3, and it reads: “Call to me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.”

As we pray, let us call unto the Lord, and He will answer and reveal extraordinary things we cannot comprehend alone. Revealing wisdom that is beyond our understanding. With God, we can explore the depths of knowledge that we have yet to discover.

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we come before you with humble and thankful hearts. We honor your greatness, your majesty, and your unending mercy.

Lord, as we gather, our hearts overflow with gratitude. It is a wonderful gift to draw near to you in prayer. Thank you for the gift of life today. Thank you for the strength in our bodies, and for the clarity of mind that allows us to come to you with full awareness. Thank you for inviting us into your presence and for always making yourself available when we call. Thank you for the countless blessings that fill our lives every day. Father, you are faithful beyond measure. We rejoice in your goodness and give you glory, for everything we have is because of you.

Father, thank you for reminding us that when we “call to you, you will answer us and tell us great and unsearchable things that we do not know.” Lord, we are calling to you right now. For you promise that when we call, you will not only hear us but you will respond with wisdom, with truth, and with a love that transforms us from the inside out. Lord, please open our ears to hear, our minds to understand, and our hearts to receive all that you desire to reveal to us.

Lord, you know us intimately, you see our hearts' desire, and you know the plans you have in store for us. Sometimes our vision is limited. We often lean on our own understanding, and we struggle to see the bigger picture you have designed for our lives. But today, we are praying and surrendering our plans and our thoughts to you. Help us to release every burden, every doubt, and every fear at your feet. Help us to acknowledge that your ways are higher than our ways, and your thoughts are greater than our thoughts. Teach us to trust in your timing, even when we cannot yet see the outcome.

Father, we are praying for your abundant blessings to be poured out in our lives. Blessings of peace, of joy, of patience, of wisdom, and of deeper faith. Fill our hearts with compassion so that we can extend your love to others. Fill our minds with clarity so that we can walk in discernment. Fill our spirits with courage so that we can stand firm in the face of challenges.

Lord, you see the needs that weigh heavily on our hearts. For those among us who are battling illness, please heal them. For those struggling with financial hardship, open doors of provision and provide opportunity. For those wrestling with relationships, pour out your spirit of reconciliation and peace. For those carrying the weight of grief or loneliness, wrap them in the comfort of your presence. Father, let none of us leave this time of prayer unchanged. Renew us, restore us, and remind us that we are never alone.

Father, show us how to live a life that reflects your glory. Teach us to love others as you have loved us, to forgive, and to extend kindness even when we don’t see a result. Remind us daily that we are ambassadors of Christ. May our words bring encouragement, our actions bring healing, and our presence bring peace.

Lord, thank you for the sacrifice you made on the cross. Through your blood, we are redeemed. Through your resurrection, we have victory. Because of you, we are free from sin, and we can approach you with confidence. May we never take for granted the price you paid so that we can have eternal life. Stir within us a passion to live boldly, to share the good news of the gospel, and to walk faithfully in obedience to your word.

Lord, strengthen our faith, deepen our worship, and align our hearts with your will. May every step we take be ordered by you, and may we never lose sight of your presence in our lives.

Father, as we close this time of prayer, let our hearts be full of expectation as we go through this day. Help us to believe that you are already working in our lives, in ways both visible and invisible. Help us to believe that you are opening doors no one can shut.  Help us to wait patiently, to trust faithfully, and to follow obediently wherever you lead us.

We pray all of this in the powerful, matchless, and loving name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ…Amen.
