Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is the beginning of June, a month filled with peace, love, and awareness. As we step into this beautiful month, let us pray without ceasing.

As mentioned earlier, our prayers throughout the year will be taken from the 66 books of the Bible. We began in the book of Genesis and will conclude in the book of Revelation.

Today, we are diving into the book of Ezekiel. Our scripture will be taken from Ezekiel 11:19-20, and it reads, “Then I will give them one heart; I will put a new spirit within them and take the stony heart out of their flesh. Give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments and do them; they shall be My people, and I will be their God.”

The Lord promises to unite our hearts as one, placing a new and glowing spirit within us, transforming our hardened hearts into compassionate, loving hearts.

As we pray, let us ask the Lord to empower us to live in accordance with his statutes, to uphold his judgments, and to act upon them with sincerity and dedication. For we will truly be his people, and in turn, he will embrace us as his own, fostering a deep and lasting relationship built on mutual commitment and love.

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Redeemer. Father, we come before you with gratitude in our hearts. Thank you for the gift of life, and for the peace that only you can provide. Lord, as we enter this new month, help us to know that nothing catches you by surprise and that everything that lies ahead is already in your hands.

Father, thank you for reminding us that you “will give us one heart; you will put a new spirit within us, and you will take the stony heart out of our flesh. You will give us a heart of flesh, so we can walk in your statutes and keep your judgments and do them; for we shall be your people, and you will be our God.”

Lord, we are praying and holding tightly to this promise. Father, our hearts can become hardened by disappointments, hardened by pain, or weighed down by fear. But you, in your mercy, promise to renew us. You promise to take away those stony hearts, those walls we have built up, and give us tender hearts that can love you and love others. Help us to receive this transformation with your love, forgiveness, and compassion.

Lord, help us to align with your will. Teach us to live right, to follow your commandments not out of obligation, but with a heart overflowing with love for you. Help us to keep your statutes and live a life that reflects your holiness and goodness. Let our words bring honor to your name.

Father, this month, help us to lay down our anxieties, our fears, and our burdens at your feet. Strengthen our faith to believe that you are working all things together for our good, even when circumstances don’t seem to make sense. Remind us daily that you are our provider, our healer, our comforter, and our guider.

Lord, please bless our loved ones with health, joy, and peace. Heal those who are sick in body, mind, or spirit. Comfort those who are grieving. Provide for those who are in need. Draw us closer to you and help us to feel your comfort, and remind us that we are never alone because you are always with us.

Lord, give us one heart, a heart that will truly love you. Remove division, jealousy, and bitterness, and replace them with love, understanding, and patience. Let us be known by the way we love one another. Let our unity be a testimony of your goodness that is at work within us.

Lord, give us wisdom and discernment in every decision we make throughout this month. Guide our steps, so we can acknowledge you in all our ways. Direct our paths in righteousness and keep us from temptation. Protect us from harm, and cover us under your blood.

Father, thank you for reminding us that we can come boldly before your throne of grace, knowing that you hear us and love us. May we never take you for granted. Help us to live each day in gratitude and in the power of your resurrection.

Lord, as we close this prayer, we ask that your spirit continue to dwell richly within us throughout this month. Let your word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Fill us with joy unspeakable, peace unshakable, and hope unbreakable. Transform us daily, so that our lives may glorify you in everything we do.

We pray in the mighty, powerful, and compassionate name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior…Amen.

Everyone. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
