Welcome to another episode of our EBC Prayer Podcast. As discussed in our previous episodes, our prayers will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. Our prayer today will be aligned with the scripture taken from 1 Corinthians 10:13, and it reads: “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
As we pray, let us believe that alongside every temptation, God will provide a path to escape. For he is reminding us that no temptation has arisen in our lives that is not shared by others; such struggles are part of the human experience. However, God remains steadfast and faithful, ensuring that we will not face challenges beyond our capacity to endure. He equips us with the strength and means to navigate through life, so that we can emerge strong and secure.
Morning, everyone. Welcome to another episode of our EBC Prayer Podcast. As discussed in our previous episodes, our prayers will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. Let’s pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we come before you in deep gratitude for this sacred moment to lift our hearts to you. Thank you for giving us this gift of prayer, for the assurance that when we draw near to you, you will draw near to us. We are never alone, for you are always present, always listening, and always working for the good of those who love you.
Lord, we recognize that life is full of complexities and challenges. Each day brings its own trials, some small and some overwhelming. Yet in all things, you remain faithful. You see us as we truly are, with every struggle and every pain. Nothing is hidden from you, and yet you love us unconditionally. You are a God of compassion, patience, and mercy, who knows our weaknesses and still strengthens us through your Spirit.
Father, help us to cling to your promise that no temptation can overtake us except what is common to humanity. You are faithful; You will not allow us to be tested beyond what we can endure. And in every trial, you provide a way of escape, a path toward endurance, and a door toward freedom. We rest in this truth, trusting that your grace is sufficient and that your strength is made perfect in our weakness.
Lord, help us to recognize those pathways you lay before us, to lean not on our own understanding, but to acknowledge you in all our ways so that you can direct our paths.
Lord, we often stumble. Sometimes we allow worry to rule our minds, pride to harden our hearts, and temptation to drift us away from your will. But even in our failures, your mercy remains steadfast. Thank you for never turning away from us, for welcoming us back with open arms when we repent. Thank you for the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, through whom forgiveness and restoration are made possible.
Father, in moments of discouragement, help us to remember that you are our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. When we are weary, lift our heads. When we are brokenhearted, bind up our wounds. When we feel powerless, fill us with the confidence that comes from knowing that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work within us.
Lord, we also bring before you the needs of those we love. Many are walking through seasons of illness, uncertainty, grief, or fear. Please surround us with your peace that surpasses all understanding. May your healing touch restore our bodies, your comfort quiet our minds, and your Spirit strengthen our souls. Let us feel your nearness in ways we never thought possible.
Lord, we pray for wisdom in our daily choices. Guide our speech so that our words build up rather than tear down. Direct our actions so they reflect your love and kindness. Shape our thoughts so that they align with your truth. May we not be overcome by the world’s distraction, but be instruments of your peace, shining lights, and voices of hope to those who are struggling.
Father, remind us daily that nothing is wasted in your sight. Every hardship, every tear, every unanswered question, you are able to use all of it for your glory and for our growth. Help us to trust in the unseen, to believe that, even when life feels uncertain, you are weaving a story far greater than we could ever imagine.
Lord, thank you for the ways you continually provide. The food we eat, the love of family and friends, the beauty of creation often go unnoticed, yet they are all signs of your goodness. Teach us to live with grateful hearts, not only for the extraordinary blessings, but also for the ordinary mercies that remind us of your presence each day.
Lord, give us courage to stand firm in our faith, and flexibility when the journey is long, and remind us that with you, we are never alone.
Father, as we conclude this time of prayer, help us to trust you, for you are our guide, our provider, our healer, our redeemer, and our hope. May we leave this moment with renewed faith, strengthened hearts, and a deeper awareness of your abiding love.
We pray in the powerful and precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ…Amen.
Everyone, please have a blessed day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow.
