“Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.” (Psalm 130:1-2)
Welcome to another daily prayer. Keep on praying. Prayer works. The Lord is listening to your heartfelt cries and is attentive to your sincere requests. From the deepest recesses of my soul, I call out to you, O Lord. In my moments of despair, I seek your presence. Lord, please lend your ear to my cries; may your attention be drawn to the sound of my earnest pleas and heartfelt prayers.
Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is April 3rd, the 93rd day of the year.
I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. Thank you for joining us another day, as we gather in prayer.
As mentioned in previous episodes, our prayers throughout the year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. We began our journey in Genesis and will conclude in Revelation by the end of the year.
Today, we are delving deeper into the book of Psalms. Our focus will be on Psalm 130:1-2, which reads: “Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.”
As we pray, let us prepare our hearts to connect with the Lord in our own moments of need, drawing strength and comfort from His promises. Let us take this moment of despair and earnest plea to pray for intervention and embrace the depth of our faith together.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father, our Lord, our God, and our Eternal Savior.
Father, we come before you with reverence, humility, and our hearts full of gratitude. Thank you for giving us this moment to draw near to you.
Lord, “Out of the depths our hearts have cried unto Thee, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice: let Thine ears be attentive to the voice of our supplications.”
Lord, we come before you with humble hearts, bowing in reverence as we lay the deepest struggles and fears that weigh heavily upon our souls. In this sacred moment, we bring forth our weaknesses, those burdens that often feel overwhelming, pressing down on us and making our paths seem daunting. There are times when we conceal our true emotions, masking our pain with a brave face, yet you gently invite us to shed these facades and approach you openly, unburdened and sincere.
From the very depths of our hearts and souls, we are earnestly calling upon you, O Lord. In the darkest hours of despair and the tumultuous tides of life's challenges, we find ourselves yearning for your presence, clinging to the hope that your guiding light will illuminate our way. We long for the comfort of your embrace, a reminder that we are never alone in our struggles, and that your strength can lift us above our trials.
Lord, please hear our cry: let your ears be attentive to the voice of our supplications. As we raise our heartfelt pleas and petitions before you, we trust that each word resonates in the sacred space of your presence. In moments of profound need, may our voices be matched with the symphony of faith, echoing our yearning for your infinite wisdom. Lord, we are seeking your guidance to navigate the complexities of our lives, so we can be more like you. We are hoping that you may lead us towards the relief and answers we seek. With unwavering trust in your boundless love and mercy, we rest assured that you are always listening, ever ready to embrace us in our times of need.
Lord, please give us comfort, strength, and monitor us through the challenges we face and the uncertainties that linger in our minds. Please grant us the courage to confront problems and the wisdom to navigate lives with faith and hope. You know us better than we know ourselves. You know our pain before we can name it, our burdens before we can carry them, and our needs before we can ask.
Lord, you are the God who never abandons us. Sometimes our faith feels weak, and we wonder how we will endure. But you remain steadfast. Your promises are true, and you never fail.
Father, we lift everything before you: our families and our loved ones. Lord, touch us with your healing hand, and let your presence bring us hope. For your strength is made perfect in our weakness. Give us the courage to trust you completely and to surrender into your care.
Lord, it is through you that we have hope, through you we have forgiveness, and through you we have eternal life. Father, carry us through what we cannot carry alone. Strengthen us to keep pressing forward,
and remind us daily that victory is already ours in Christ Jesus.
In the mighty, merciful, and loving name of our Savior, Jesus Christ…Amen.
Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
