“O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endured forever.” (Psalm 136:1)
Welcome to another daily prayer. Pray without ceasing. O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is truly good; His unwavering goodness shines through in every moment of our lives. For His mercy endures forever, offering us comfort and solace in times of trouble, reminding us of His endless compassion and grace.
Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is April 4th, the 94th day of the year, and God has not given up on us. He is still blessing us.
I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. Thank you for joining us another day, as we gather in prayer.
As mentioned in previous episodes, our prayers throughout the year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. We began our journey in Genesis and will conclude in the book Revelation by the end of the year.
Today, we are delving deeper into the book of Psalms. Our focus will be on Psalm 136:1, which reads: “O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endured forever.”
As we pray, let us open our hearts unto the Lord and give him thanks for he is good.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father, our Loving God, and our Faithful Savior,
Father, come before you with reverent hearts and overflowing gratitude for the sacred privilege of prayer, which is our holy gift of communion with you. We recognize how blessed we are to connect with you in this intimate way, and we thank you for this opportunity.
Lord, in every season of our lives, whether we find ourselves in moments of joy and celebration or times of sorrow and struggle, we thank you for being a constant source of support. Your attentive ear listens to our earnest cries, and your heart welcomes our praises. In Psalm 107:1, you call us to “give thanks unto the Lord; for He is good: for His mercy endures forever,” and we acknowledge and embrace this truth today.
In this sacred moment, we take time to acknowledge you as our Creator, our Redeemer, and our Sustainer. You are the masterful crafts worker who knits us together in our mother’s womb, the one who knows us intricately and numbers every hair on our heads. Each day you hold our future in your gracious hands, reminding us that without you, we can do nothing, but with you, we possess everything we truly need.
Father, let our hearts overflow with praise, praise born from the depths of your abundant mercy and love. Help us to see every individual as you see us: creations crafted in your own image, deserving of dignity, respect, and love. Let our lives reflect your unwavering faithfulness, evident in our words, our actions, our attitudes, and the small moments that make up our days, and surrender fully to you.
Heavenly Lord, as we navigate the seasons of our lives, we humbly seek your guidance and wisdom. Teach us to cultivate a spirit of gratitude, so that we may find reasons to thank you each day. May we look beyond our struggles and recognize your goodness, which exceeds every circumstance, providing us with hope and inner strength. Open our hearts to see the blessings that you are bestowing on us daily, allowing these surprises to draw us closer to you with each passing moment.
Help us live a life that reflects holiness. Purify our hearts from impurities, refine our thoughts to align with your will, and transform our desires so that we may walk closely with you each day. Let kindness, gentleness, and humility fill our lives, reminding us of the fruit of your Spirit, which should be evident in our every step, our every word, and our every decision.
Heavenly Father, we are praying and asking you to lift the burdens we carry to you during this prayer. You are thoroughly aware of the struggles we bear, the worries that weigh heavily on our hearts, and the unseen battles we continuously face. We ask that you meet us in these exposed places of pain and doubt. Bring healing to our bodies, solace to our sorrows, clarity to our confusion, and peace to our restless spirits. Remind us that even in the darkest moments, your light breaks through, and your grace remains sufficient for us, offering comfort and reassurance.
As we pray, we do not only bring our needs before you but also remember those around us, our families, our friends, our neighbors, and everyone who supports and prays for us. Teach us to extend the same mercy you have so graciously shown us. Guide us to be instruments of grace, reflecting your abundant love in every interaction. May our lives stand as testimonies to your greatness, drawing others closer to you through our actions and words.
Lord Jesus, may you be glorified in everything we do and say. Let our lives serve as a beautiful offering of worship unto you, that through our existence, others may truly encounter your presence. May your name be lifted high above all, forever honored and praised.
As we close this prayer, we want to express our thanks for the countless blessings you pour upon us, daily seen and unseen. We recognize your hand in our lives, shaping our paths and nurturing our souls.
We pray all of these things in the precious, merciful, and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior, our God, and Redeemer… Amen.
Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
