Good morning, everyone! We are so glad to have you join us for another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is April 7th, marking the 97th day of the year.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. Thank you for taking the time to gather with us during our prayer.

As discussed in our previous episodes, the foundation of our prayers will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. We started with Genesis and are excited to continue, we will close in the book of Revelation by the end of the year.

Today, we continue our focus on the book of Psalms. Our scripture today will be taken from Psalm 143:10, which reads: “Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.”

Lord, as we pray, instill in our hearts a desire for righteousness, and lead us on a path that brings us into the land of integrity and moral clarity. May we seek your wisdom in every decision and walk in alignment with your teachings and purpose for our lives.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior.

Father, we come before you with our hearts full of gratitude, lifting our voices and acknowledging you as the one true and living God. We declare with joy and reverence that there is none like you, none beside you, and none above you. You are our refuge, our strength, and the anchor of our souls.

Lord, “Teach us to do thy will; for thou art our God: thy spirit is good; lead us into the land of uprightness.”

Lord, teach us, mold us, and guide us so that our lives reflect Your will and not our own desires. So often, we stumble or lose sight of what is right, but your Spirit is good, faithful, and true. It is Your Spirit that supports us, that shines a light on the path before us, and that directs us into a land where truth, justice, and holiness flourish.

Father, some days we are full of distractions. Today, we are praying and asking you to remove distractions. Every day, there are influences that try to pull us away from you. Lord, please lead us away from those temptations. Protect us from the snares of the enemy. Help us to quiet the noise around us, so we may hear you. Teach us to discern your will above all others. Strengthen our hearts to desire what is pure and holy.

Lord, please be present in the daily details of our lives. Guide us with your wisdom and help us to discern and carry out your will in all that we do. Grant us the strength and courage to follow your path, for you are our God and our refuge. Help us to feel your love and guidance in our decisions, interactions, and challenges each day. We sometimes feel unsure of what choices to make, which road to take, or how to respond in difficult moments. But will never leave us or forsake us. Thank you for reassuring us of your tender mercy. Lord, in each and every aspect of our lives, whether in our families, our work, or our relationships. Let us never doubt you, for you are constant, unwavering, and faithful.

O Lord, your spirit is good and pure; guide us into the land where righteousness flourishes. Bestow upon us the strength and resolve to faithfully obey your teachings, that we may express your principles in our daily lives. Help us to walk the path of integrity and compassion, as we seek to reflect your goodness in all that we do. We know that following you is not always easy. Sometimes the road feels long and the burdens heavy, but help us to rest in you. Renew our spirits, restore our joy, and remind us of your faithfulness. May we never grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

Father, help us to embody the compassion, humility, and grace that our Savior Jesus Christ. Teach us to extend mercy even when it is difficult. Fill our hearts with patience, that our lives can point others to your goodness.

Lord, shape us into vessels you desire us to be. Help us to be steadfast in our obedience to you and live in a way that others can see you in us, for you are the hope of glory.

Lord, fill us with the desire to know you more deeply, to serve you more faithfully, and to love you more completely. Lead us into your land of uprightness. We give you glory, honor, and praise for all that you have done.

In the glorious and powerful name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray...Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
