“For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice and preserves the way of His saints.” (Proverbs 2:6-8)

Welcome to another daily prayer. Keep on praying. The Lord will give you wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. “From His divine voice flows a profound knowledge and understanding that illuminates the mind and guides the heart. He meticulously gathers sound wisdom, keeping it in reserve for those who uphold righteousness and integrity. As a protective shield, He watches over those who walk in uprightness, offering them safety and reassurance. Moreover, He diligently guards the paths of justice, ensuring that fairness prevails, and He preserves the journeys of His devoted followers, leading them along the way of holiness and truth.”

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is April 11, the 101st day of the year, and it's a reminder of the blessings that each new day the Lord is bestowing upon us.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic located in Salem, New Jersey. It brings me joy to connect with each one of you as we embark on this profound journey together, exploring the transformative power of prayer in our lives.

As mentioned earlier, our prayers throughout the year will be taken from the 66 books of the Bible, beginning with Genesis and concluding with Revelation.

Today, we are diving into the book of Proverbs, and our scripture will be taken from Proverbs 2:6-8, which beautifully states: “For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice and preserves the way of His saints.”

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, our Lord, our God, and our Savior,

Father, we come before you with our hearts full of gratitude, humility, and reverence. You are the creator of the heavens and the earth, the one who spoke light into the darkness, the one who knit us together in our mother’s womb, the one who sustains every breath we take. Truly, Lord, there is none like you. We are lifting our voices during our prayer, for you are worthy of all praise, honor, and adoration.

Father, thank you for reminding us that you, our “Lord, give wisdom; from your mouth comes knowledge and understanding; You store up sound wisdom for the upright; You are a shield to those who walk uprightly; You guard the paths of justice and preserve the way of Your saints.”

Father, today, we hold tightly to these promises. We recognize that apart from you, our wisdom is fragile, our strength is fleeting, and our understanding is limited. But with you, Lord, we can walk in righteousness, find clarity in confusion, and rest securely under your divine shield of protection.

Lord, pour out your wisdom upon us in every area of our lives. Teach us to act honestly in all things, in our words, our decisions, our relationships, and even in our hearts, where no one but you can see. Help us to be people of integrity, living testimonies of your truth, so that others may see our good works and glorify you, our Father in heaven.

Lord, we are praying for your protection to surround us and everyone who is seeking your intervention in prayer today. Strengthen each and everyone of us. Be our refuge in times of trouble, our shield when trials come, and our light when darkness tries to overtake us. Preserve the paths of us, your children, and guide our footsteps so that we walk not in our own ways, but in the ways that is pleasing to you.

Lord, give us discerning hearts, that we may recognize the snares laid before us and choose instead the narrow path that leads to life. When we are weak, be our strength. When we are weary, be our rest. When we are unsure, be our wisdom. And when we stumble, lift us by Your grace and remind us that Your mercies are new every morning.

Father, bless our homes, fill us with peace, joy, and love. Strengthen our marriages, heal broken relationships, and restore unity where there has been division. For our children and the younger generation, we pray that they would grow in wisdom and stature, in favor with both you and with others.

Lord, strengthen your church, that it may stand firm in faith and bold in witness. Unite us as one body, with Christ as the head, so that together we may shine as a beacon of hope and truth in this world. Teach us to trust not in our own understanding but to lean fully on you, acknowledging you in all our ways, knowing that you will direct our paths. Let us rest in the assurance that nothing can separate us from your love, neither death nor life, nor angels nor demons, nor things present nor things to come.

Father, as we close, may we live each day mindful of your love.

We pray all of this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior…Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
