“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
Welcome to another daily prayer. Prayer works. Place your complete trust in the Lord, relying on Him wholeheartedly rather than depending solely on your own limited understanding and insights. In every aspect of your life, make a conscious effort to acknowledge Him and seek His guidance. By doing so, you open yourself to His wisdom and direction, and He will illuminate your path, leading you towards the right choices and decisions.
Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is April 12th, the 102nd day of the year, a wonderful opportunity for us to express our gratitude to God for the gift of life and the countless blessings he is bestowing upon us.
I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, honored to serve as the First Lady and Prayer Leader at the Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. I genuinely appreciate your willingness to take time out of your busy schedules to join us in this reflective moment of prayer.
As discussed in our previous episodes, our prayers will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. We started in Genesis and will close in the book of Revelation by the end of the year.
Today, we will delve deeper into the book of Proverbs. Our scripture will be taken from Proverbs 3:5-6, and it reads: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
The Lord is reminding us of the importance of placing our complete trust in him, rather than relying solely on our own limited perspectives. He is calling to acknowledge him in every aspect of our lives, whether big or small, and to surrender our understanding to His divine will.
Today, let's open our hearts to the guidance and direction that God promises to provide when we seek
Him with unwavering faith.
So, let us pray and invite the presence of the Lord into our hearts and our conversation.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, our God, and our Savior.
Father, we humbly come before you with our hearts bowed in reverence, filled with gratitude for the gift of this day.
Lord, you are reminding us that we should: “Trust in you, our Lord, with all our heart; and lean not unto our own understanding. In all our ways acknowledge you, and you shall direct our paths.”
Father, thank you for your unwavering patience and understanding. In every aspect of our lives, help us to seek your guidance and wisdom. Help us to acknowledge your presence in our daily decisions, so that we may follow the paths you lay before us.
For your ways are higher than our ways, and your thoughts so much greater than our own. Today, we come before you seeking your guidance and support as we strive to trust you completely with every aspect of our lives. Help us to surrender our worries and fears, placing our faith in your wisdom and love. Please strengthen our path as we navigate our daily challenges, shaping our thoughts to align with your will. We ask that you strengthen our hearts, anchoring our trust in you fully so that we may experience the peace that comes from knowing that you are in control. May our journey be guided by your light, and may we grow in confidence as we rely on your unwavering presence.
Lord, there are times when life feels uncertain, when questions remain unanswered, and when we are tempted to lean on our own limited understanding. But in these moments, please remind us to look up to you, for you are the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Teach us to surrender our burdens and our fears into your loving hands, knowing that you care for each of us.
Father, you are aware of the burdens that weigh heavily on our hearts and the challenges we face. Yet, in the midst of our struggles, you are reminding us that we can find comfort knowing that you see us and know us in our entirety. Your love for us is unwavering, a love that surpasses all understanding and remains constant, regardless of our circumstances, and nothing in this world can separate us from your love.
Lord, remove every burden we carry that does not bring you glory. Remove the chains of worry that hold us back from walking freely in your promises. Teach us to pray faithfully for our families. Cover each and every one of us with your protection and surround them with your grace. Bless the work of our hands, strengthen our faith, and lead us into deeper intimacy with you.
Lord, as we go through the day, help us to trust you, trust your timing, trust your wisdom, and trust your perfect plan. Even when we do not understand what you are doing. We offer all these prayers, all our hopes, and all our needs into your loving hands. And we do so with thanksgiving, knowing you hear us, knowing you love us, and knowing that you are faithful to complete the good work you have begun in us.
We pray in the magnificent, powerful, and saving name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ…Amen.
Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
