June 2 – Day 153. Pray for showers of Blessing

Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Our scripture will be taken from Ezekiel 34:26, and it reads: “I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing; I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.” 

As we pray, let us rejoice for the Lord is sending us showers of blessings, and there will be showers of blessings in every season. In due time, the Lord will bring forth nourishing rain, ensuring that the earth is refreshed and revitalized. These rains will not only be precipitation or physical rainfall; they will be showers of blessing, fostering growth and prosperity in our lives.

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we come before you, with our hearts brimming with gratitude and reverence. Thank you for bestowing upon us this sacred moment to come together in prayer and reflect on the profound truth that every good and perfect gift flows from your boundless love.

Lord, you are the magnificent creator of the heavens and the earth, and in your infinite grace, you listening intently as we lift our voices in prayer.

Father, we are deeply grateful for your promise, as you declared, “I will make them and the places all around my hill a blessing; I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing.” Today, we come before you with unwavering faith, earnestly praying for the fulfillment of your divine assurance. Please send abundant showers of rain upon the parched lands that stretch across our world. Just as rain descends to nourish the earth, let your mercy flow upon each one of us. Revive our spirits, rejuvenate our hearts, and make us fruitful in every good work.

Lord, your understanding of the seasons surpasses our own. You know the perfect timing to refresh the land with rain and to envelop our hearts in peace. Teach us to lean on your divine timing and trust in your wisdom. Where we witness drought, may we see your abundant rain; where we experience barrenness, may we eagerly seek the tender buds of new life beginning.

Father, empower us to pray boldly in faith rather than merely relying on what our eyes can see. Grant us a spirit of patience as we await your divine answers. Fill our hearts with courage to stand steadfast amidst trials, and joy that springs forth from the hope found solely in you.

Lord, as the land experiences renewal, let our souls mirror this transformation through spiritual revival. May we be like trees of life, standing tall and proud, with branches heavy with bountiful fruit that nourishes both the spirit and the body. Open our eyes to the abundant spiritual fields ripe for harvest, testifying to your unwavering goodness and provision. Help us embody the image of trees planted by streams of living water, bearing fruit in due season, with leaves that never wither and lives flourishing according to your divine will.

Lord, pour out your abundant blessings upon us. Reach out and touch those who are suffering with your healing hand, bringing restoration and wholeness. Comfort those who are grieving, wrapping them in your loving arms, and restore those who have strayed from your path with your boundless mercy. Let each of us experience the refreshing rain of your Spirit, washing away despair, renewing our strength, and revival a fresh hope within us.

Lord Jesus, have mercy on the world surrounding us. So many are thirsty, not only for water but for love, peace, and truth that offers support. You have called us to be instruments of your peace, so teach us to share freely the blessings we have received. As you fill our lives overflowing, may that abundance manifest in acts of kindness, compassion, and forgiveness. Let our words breathe life, our hands bring healing, and our presence radiate your love.

Lord, as we conclude this prayer, help us to lift our hearts in gratitude for your enduring faithfulness and rejoice in the blessings you have in store for us. May our lives become living testimonies of your grace, showcasing your wonder and mercy. Help us to always remember, just as you send rain to nourish the earth, you will also bestow grace, mercy, and love into our lives when we need it most.
