Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Our scripture will be taken from Daniel 9:4, and it reads: “And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments.”

Our God is great and awesome. As we pray, let us raise our voice in earnest prayer to the Lord our God, fully aware of His greatness and amazing, inspiring nature. With sincerity in our hearts, let us confess our sins and express our deep reverence, for our Lord is a mighty and magnificent God. He steadfastly upholds our covenant and shows unwavering mercy to all who love him and strive to observe your commandments with all our hearts.

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we come before you with grateful hearts, truly thankful for the precious gift of prayer. With humility, we are lifting our voices in joyful praise, recognizing you as the Almighty God and the magnificent Creator, the one who has woven together the fabric of heaven and earth. Just as the sun rises with predictability and as reliably as the seasons change, you will reveal yourself to us. You are the beauty of creation and the morning light that awakens our souls.

Father, we are approaching your throne with earnest hearts, covering ourselves in sincere prayer and heartfelt confessions. “You are our magnificent and inspiring God, steadfastly upholding your blessings and generously extending your boundless mercy to all who love you and earnestly trying to follow your commandments with all their hearts.”

Lord, you alone embody holiness, righteousness, and truth, and we, your beloved people, are continuously in need of your abundant grace. We acknowledge your unwavering commitment to those who seek to live in accordance with your divine will, and we are profoundly grateful for the grace that you so freely bestow upon us.

Father, we recognize that all too often we have wandered away from your righteous commandments. Whether in thought, word, or deed, we have fallen short of the glory you represent. As we humbly bow before you, we do so not in despair, but with the strong assurance that you are a God rich in forgiveness, slow to anger, and overflowing with steadfast love. Lord, we seek your forgiveness for choosing our own paths over the divine direction you provide; your promise stands firm that you will never abandon those who earnestly call upon your name. Therefore, today, with repentant hearts and cries of faith, we come before you, asking that you mend our fractured spirits, purify us where sin has left its stain, and restore within us the overwhelming joy of your salvation.

Great and mighty God, thank you for the precious gift of another day, a fresh start characterized by the unseen mercies that carried us through the night and greeted us with the light of morning. We are grateful for the grace that sustains us even in our moments of unawareness and for the many blessings we often take for granted. Thank you for the warmth of family, the companionship of friends, the safety of our homes, and the love that binds us together in unity. Above all, we are thankful for the privilege of approaching your heavenly throne with boldness and confidence.

In a world often marked by pain, division, and uncertainty, we fervently pray for peace to reign in our hearts, within our homes, and throughout the realms of our world. Grant us the discernment to distinguish what is right, the courage to pursue what is just, and the humility to walk steadfastly in your truth. Illuminate our paths with your Spirit so that our lives may radiate as beacons of your incredible grace.

Lord, stretch out your healing hand to the sick, bring strength to the weary, and give rest to the anxious. To those grieving, grant the comfort of your presence. To those burdened by worry, speak peace into their storms. To those who feel unworthy or forgotten, remind them that they are loved, cherished, and chosen by you.

Lord, renew our hearts, rekindle our first love for you, and deepen our hunger for righteousness. Teach us to forgive as you forgive, to serve as you served, and to walk humbly. Let our words be seasoned with kindness, and our actions reflect your compassion. May our lives bring glory to your name, in moments of prayer, in every interaction, every decision, and every act of love.

Great and awesome God, we end this prayer with joy. For you are faithful, merciful, holy, and true. Help us to rest in your promises and rejoice in your covenant. Lord, keep us close to you, and let your will be done in us and through us.

We pray all of this, with gratitude, in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior…Amen.

Everyone. Please have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
