Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Our scripture will be taken from Jeremiah 31:34, and it reads: “No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord.”
The Lord is faithful and has a multitude of blessings awaiting us. Soon, there will be a profound transformation. He is assuring us that everyone will have a personal and intimate understanding of who he is, from the least among us to the most notable person. Our transformative relationship with the Lord will be a precious gift from him, for he is the one who eliminates the barriers that once stood between humanity and his wisdom.
As we pray, let us take a moment to reflect deeply on the Lord's reassuring words. One day, we will all come to know Him intimately, from the youngest learning about God's love to the oldest sharing the Lord's goodness and wisdom.
Dear Heavenly Father, our Merciful God, and Faithful Savior. Father, with grateful hearts, we come before you, lifting our voices in reverence, worship, and sincere thanksgiving. Lord, it is only by your grace and mercy that we are blessed with the opportunity to gather in your presence. Thank you for allowing us the sacred privilege of connecting with you, sharing our innermost thoughts, and dwelling in the warmth of your love.
Lord, you are holy and sovereign, the majestic Creator of heaven and earth, and in your tender mercy, you desire a deeply intimate relationship with each of us. This is why you are reminding us that we do not need anyone to teach us about you, for you have already recorded your eternal truth upon our hearts. Through you, we are granted direct access to your throne of grace, a place where we find refuge and strength.
Lord, as we navigate the issues of life, help us to acknowledge how often we fall short. We stumble, grow weary, and at times become blind to your promises that stand steadfast. But, despite our shortcomings, you remain ever faithful, unwavering through time, the same yesterday, today, and forever. Lord, thank you for the wonderful assurance that our sins are forgiven and completely erased. Please restore our spirits and give us hope to believe in your goodness.
Father, thank you for the joyful moments, the laughter that fills the air, and the beauty of creation that serves as a reminder of your incredible handiwork. Let our prayers rise like incense before you. Teach us to intercede for our families, friends, neighbors, and everyone throughout the world. Soften our hearts and deepen our faith.
Lord, in a world filled with discouragement, give us the courage to pray for reconciliation and peace. Help us to lay all our burdens at your feet and place our trust firmly in your promises. Where there is anger, let us sow seeds of kindness. Where division reigns, help us to become instruments of unity. Surround us with your presence and strengthen our spirits. Help us to remember to give you thanks and recognize that you are shaping, refining, and drawing us ever closer to you.
Lord, you are our guiding light, and your plans are always good. Give us wisdom to make good decisions, courage to face challenges fearlessly, and patience to wait for your perfect timing. Help us to discern your will above our own desires, and strengthen our faith to trust in you, even when the path ahead seems uncertain.
Lord, as we close this prayer, let our lives become a living testament of your goodness. Let us speak words that uplift and encourage, act in ways that inspire, and love with hearts that mirror yours. Let our homes radiate peace, our communities be filled with compassion, and let your truth impact our world through the diligent work of our hands and the witness of our lives. For you are reminding us that “No longer will we teach our neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know you, from the least of them to the greatest.”
We pray in the mighty and faithful name of Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, our Friend, and our King… Amen.
Everyone. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
