Welcome to another episode of the EBC's Prayer Podcast. Our prayer will be aligned with the scripture taken from Mark 12:30, and it reads: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.”
As we pray, let us direct all our strength toward loving the Lord, using the energy of our bodies to serve him and reflect his love in everything we do. The Lord wants us to love him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. He wants us to devote a complete relationship with him, for he is our God. Love him with all our hearts, cherishing him deeply and allowing his affection to guide our emotions and actions. He will engage our souls, embracing the spiritual connection that sustains us and fuels our purpose. He wants us to understand him fully with all our mind, exploring his teachings and wisdom to grow in knowledge and insight.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we come before you with deep gratitude and heartfelt reverence for the opportunity to pray again.
Father, thank you for encouraging us to “Love you, our Lord, and our God with all our hearts, with all our souls, with all our minds, and with all our strength.” Lord, we gather before you in prayer to do just that.
Father, with all our hearts, we are praying and laying them open before you. You see every desire, every wound, every joy, and every sorrow that dwells within us. Cleanse our hearts from anything that is not of you, every bitterness, fear, unforgiveness, and pride. Replace them with your peace, your joy, and your perfect love. Teach us to love you, not out of duty but out of devotion.
Lord, with all our souls, we are praying and crying out for you. For you alone are the rest our souls long for. Breathe life into the places that feel empty or broken. Pour out your spirit to fill the depths of our being. Shape our identity in you, so that our worth is not found in this world, but in being your beloved sons and daughters. Help us to love you with all that we are, our emotions, our passions, our dreams, our deepest yearnings. May our souls find their satisfaction only in your presence.
Lord, with all our minds, we are surrendering to you. God of wisdom, sanctify our thoughts. Renew our minds, so that we can think on things that are true, pure, lovely, and worthy of praise. Secure our minds against distractions and confusion. Give us clarity to discern your will and courage to walk the path you have in store for us. Lord, may our thoughts honor you, and our decisions glorify you.
Father, with all our strength, we are praying and surrendering to you, for you are our refuge and our source of strength. Apart from you, we can do nothing, but with you, we can endure all things. Teach us to love you not only in words and emotions, but in action and perseverance. May our hands labor in ways that honor you. May our bodies be living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to you. When we are weak, be our strength. When we are weary, be our rest. When we feel like giving up, remind us that your grace is sufficient and your power is made perfect in our weakness.
Lord, help us to surrender every area of our lives to you, our families, our work, our plans, and our future. Help us not to compartmentalize our love for you, but to allow it to spill into every moment, every relationship, and every decision. We confess that we fall short, but we rejoice that your mercy is new every morning. Help us to pick up our cross daily and follow after you with steadfast love.
Lord, help us to be sensitive to your voice and obedient to your calling. Let the fruit of your spirit overflow in our lives as evidence of your love. Restore to us the joy of your salvation and grant us the spirit of love to sustain us.
Lord, thank you for your unfailing love. You showed us the ultimate example of what it means to truly love you wholeheartedly. Thank you for the cross, where love triumphed over sin and death. Thank you for your spirit, which empowers us to live out this commandment daily. Thank you for your word, which lights our path and teaches us how to love you more deeply.
Father, in closing, help us to love you with all our hearts, with all our souls, with all our minds, and with all our strength. May our lives reflect your love, so that others can see your presence and be drawn to the beauty of who you are.
We pray all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior…Amen.
Everyone. Please have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
